Where Aidlink's money comes from
In 2008 Aidlink's total income was over €2.6 million, an increase of 24% on 2007's. A number of new, successful fundraising events helped us to achieve this figure. Income this year included €1.2m from Irish Aid, €581k from Misean Cara (formally IMRS), €245K from The St Mary's / Aidlink Ghana Immersion Programme, €191k from Third World Groups (including Bank of Ireland Staff Third World Fund, ElectricAid and S.H.A.R.P), €137k from the inaugural Aidlink Gala dinner and €63k from the PACT cyclists. The €970K held in restricted funds at year end are funds that are committed to programmes either not commenced or completed by 31st December 2008. In excess of €500K of these funds have been dispersed as of 1st of June 2009. For more detailed information please see the Chairperson's Statement on pages 3-5 of our 2008 audited accounts.
The audit for 2009 commences on 1st March 2010. The full 2009 audited accounts will be available here post completion of the audit.
Note: Interest received from funds on deposit are re-invested into Aidlink activities.
