On Sunday, 53 wonderful women took part in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon for Aidlink! Along with 30,000 other women, the Aidlink Ladies walked a 10km route around the streets of Dublin to raise vital funds for Aidlink’s work. The sun was shining and smiles were to be seen everywhere.

Women of all ages and walks of life came together for Aidlink at what is the biggest women’s event in the world to celebrate women, charity and solidarity. Team Aidlink were women and girls in Ireland supporting and walking for women and girls in Kenya and Uganda! Funds raised by Team Aidlink will go towards our work that improves the lives of people living in poverty in Kenya and Uganda through education, water and sanitation and agricultural livelihoods.

Every year, the Mini Marathon is a significant and meaningful fundraiser for Aidlink. This year, our team was made up of our dedicated Team Aidlink Ladies who show up every year, as well as new Aidlink Friends and a huge group from our partner school, Loreto High School Beaufort.

We would like to express a big THANK YOU to everyone who took part on the day, to all those who fundraised, those who kindly sponsored team members and anyone who came along to show support for the Aidlink Ladies. We couldn’t have done it without you and we appreciate all the time, effort and consideration that was put into this event.

Thank you Team Aidlink!
