On behalf of the Board of Aidlink, the staff, our partners and, most especially, the 10,000 children you supported this year-
Thank you and Happy Christmas!
Thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of Aidlink in 2019. Because of you more than 10,000 children are now attending child friendly schools with access to clean water and sanitation. Even on the front line of climate change, families are now better equipped to support their children’s education and we are seeing a move away from harmful social practices such as FGM and child marriage.
Your support means the world to a small organisation like ours, we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you and we hope that you will continue to be a part of empowering, educating and enabling some of the poorest and most vulnerable communities in Africa in the New Year.
Wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.
Anne, Aisling and Jonathan.
Join Aidlink and Try Something New in 2020!
Are you looking for an adventure, or a way of connecting with friends in the New Year?
Join Aidlink and help educate, empower and enable some of the poorest and most vulnerable children and communities in Africa. We have lots of ways you can get involved in 2020:
A week in Uganda
Join Team Aidlink in Uganda in May 2020 for an adventure like no other! Explore the beautiful Uganda countryside, visit our partners and projects, and take part in the ‘Mini Marathon’ in Masaka, Uganda. (one of the best courses in the world!)
We’re inviting people to come see our work on the ground and take part in the Uganda Marathon, whether that be cheering on participants or walking, running, or crawling the mini marathon, half marathon or full marathon.
More information here.
Mini Marathon Dublin
If Uganda isn’t on the cards for the New Year and you want to start training for 2021, why not join the dozens of women walking for Aidlink at the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin over the June Bank Holiday? Grab your sisters, mothers, friends, girlfriends, colleagues, and join us at the race line to support women and girls in Kenya and Uganda.
Aidlink for Turkana
Aidlink for Turkana took to the stage in the National Stadium in November and what a night it was! If you are part of a choir, or would like to set one up, get in touch with Aisling (aisling@aidlink.ie) for the chance to perform in front of hundreds of people while raising vital funds for vulnerable communities in Africa.
Hold a Fundraiser
Holding a fundraiser can be a great way to catch up and have a laugh with friends and family. Why not hold a coffee morning, table quiz or bake sale in school, work, at home or somewhere within the community? We’re here to help with all your fundraising questions and needs. 🙂
