Born Optimistic: Aidlink For Turkana features some of Ireland’s best loved singers including Wallis Bird, Cathy Davey, David Kitt, Mundy and The Pale coming together and performing with choirs to raise funds for Aidlink’s work in Turkana, Kenya

On Thursday November 22nd, Aidlink for Turkana will raise voices, funds and hope for a better future for the some of Kenya’s poorest people.

The people of Turkana have a rich culture and heritage, they are a proud people who have for many years struggled to have their voices heard. Aidlink for Turkana is all about standing up for their voices, their rights and their future prosperity. By raising voices in song, we will raise vital funds to provide basic needs for these people.

On the evening, attendees will meet two passionate advocates of the cause in Turkana, Mercy Musomi and Peris Mootian, who will have travelled from Kenya to be our guests of honour on the night. Both of these women are indomitable forces for change in their country, both in Turkana and Kajaido, and they are our key partners in the region as leaders in Girl Child Network. It will be a privilege to welcome them on stage to tell their story.

Aidlink is a community of like-minded individuals working shoulder to shoulder, side by side as a small charity which makes a big impact. By coming along to this wonderful evening of song, you too can become part of this community.

Aidlink for Turkana will be the stage for 500 voices singing in unison for the people of Turkana on what is sure to be a memorable evening. Tickets for this unmissable event cost €35 and are available to buy online from The National Concert Hall here.

We hope to see you all there, with friends and family, for a fantastic cause!
