Walk For Water 2021

In the communities where Aidlink works, a young girl can walk up to 15km to collect water for her family, carrying up to 20 litres on her journey home. 15km is about 19,685 steps – that’s going to take you around three hours. For many girls collecting water dominates the day, leaving no time for learning, playing or the opportunity to be a child.

Join the Aidlink Walk for Water campaign to celebrate the value of water and help raise much needed funds to tackle water poverty.

Aidlink’s Walk for Water campaign runs throughout March, April and May and is one of hundreds of actions taking place around the world to celebrate World Water Day.
